Call for Editorial Board Members
Sokhanfam Quarterly invites researchers and academics with relevant expertise and scholarly experience to apply for honorary service on its Editorial Board. The journal covers foreign language education, literature, linguistics and translation, with collaboration in Persian, English and Arabic.
Service is honorary, voluntary and unpaid. Membership lasts two years from the member’s final acceptance and is renewable by mutual agreement following an evaluation of the collaboration.
Academic Responsibilities
Contribute to the journal’s academic direction and quality; assess relevant submissions when assigned; recommend qualified reviewers; undertake occasional peer review within one’s expertise and availability; propose topics and special issues; and strengthen scholarly networks. Any operational editorial duties and workload will be agreed separately.
Selection Considerations
Applications will be assessed for relevant expertise, verifiable scholarly work, fair academic judgement, proficiency in at least one working language, and availability for regular participation. Previous reviewing or editorial experience is an advantage. The CV and research links should allow credentials and institutional affiliation to be checked. Selection rests with the Editor-in-Chief; applying does not imply appointment.
Independence and Publication Ethics
Confidentiality, disclosure of conflicts of interest and publication ethics are required. Membership provides no guarantee or preferential treatment for publishing the member’s own work, which must be assessed independently. This call is not an employment offer, a separate reviewer recruitment call, or an automatic grant of editorial decision-making privileges.
Selection and Appointment
Applications are submitted through the website and assessed by the Editor-in-Chief. Further information may be requested. An approved applicant receives an offer in their account. Membership and the public listing take effect only after the applicant accepts the terms and expressly consents to publication of their details. No closing date has currently been set.
Privacy
CVs, email addresses, detailed experience, conflict disclosures and assessment notes are not public and are retained for considering the collaboration. Only the agreed academic profile is published after approval and final consent. Contact sokhanfam@gmail.com regarding your information.
